I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Science in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. My ten years of experience working in mental health has led me to have a passion for working with women who feel lost from grief, anxiety and depression. I want to empower women to be honest about their needs, find inner strength, build self-esteem and pursue fulfillment in life.
My mission is to help people transform their personal and relationship challenges into life-enhancing opportunities for growth and self-discovery.
I have a natural enthusiasm for my work, which helps to inspire hope for change in my clients. My style is authentic, genuine and compassionate. I encourage emotional expressiveness, humor and exploration in sessions. My approach starts by creating a safe environment to help you tune out the negative self-talk, societal pressures and discover your own wishes, desires and needs. My therapeutic style helps clients find self-compassion, self-esteem, direction, relationship intimacy and life meaning. I integrate some of the most effective therapy methods available today including Humanistic, Interpersonal, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and the Grief Recovery Method. I can help clients build the skills needed to develop a better life. My goal is for clients to be able to utilize these skills on their own long after therapy is over with me.
